This Friday we will not have a coffee meeting due to finals.

Look for See’s Candy Spring Fundraiser information coming home soon.  This is a fundraiser for our orchestra students who will be going on a trip this May to San Francisco!  For our new parents, we try to alternate each year with band and orchestra for trips.  Orchestra students will earn money from their candy sales for their individual accounts.  Other students can designate an orchestra student or just earn money for the general TMAC fund.

Did you know that TMAC stands for TRITON MUSIC ARTS CLUB?  Our boosters (that’s me and you!) encompass all instrumental music at SCHS.

Poker tournament tentative date is March 24 at 4 pm!  More info soon!

Hello Music Families,

Have you obtained your Target REDcard yet? It is an easy way to help our instrumental music program, when you use your REDcard for purchases, 1% is donated by Target to us!

Volunteers Needed:

Committee members for the following:

• Banquet
• Poker Night
• Battle of the Bands
• Sees Candy Sale (Spring)

Please let Hilary Perry (shggperry@cox.net) know if you would like to help! Meetings for these committees will be held at Starbucks (101 Via Suerte – in Talega) on Fridays at 1 PM. Feel free to come even if you are not sure what you want to do, it is fun to talk with other band parents!

We are excited to promote the Target Redcard as one of our major fundraisers! When you use your Redcard for purchases at Target, you get 5% off your total. In addition, TMAC gets 1% from Target! There is a lot of potential there, and I am super excited. This is a way to contribute dollars without spending more, and I really encourage you to do it! I went to Target and when I checked out, I asked to get a Redcard. The whole thing took about an extra 5 minutes, and I got 5% off right then too! If you would like to help us promote this fundraiser, please let me know!

Other upcoming fundraisers are a Poker Tournament (March), a Battle of the Bands (early May), and a Spring See’s candy sale. Of course we will need help, so if you would like to be on one of those committees, please let me know!

Did you get to see the Drum Off? Wow, that was fun! I am proud of our drummers, they did a terrific job. I think we will have pictures coming soon. The Chamber Orchestra did a great job playing at Disneyland, congratulations to them for earning that prestigious honor.

Orchestra will be taking a trip, details coming soon!

Coming Up:

• Honor Symphonic Orchestra – Forms have been sent out through school loop and auditions are February 6, with the concert on March 10. This is a wonderful event where the whole school district’s top musicians perform together. Please help your son or daughter get the forms in to audition!
• Area Concert at SCHS March 15
• Jazz Fest May 5
• End of the Year Banquet June 12
