ENROLLMENT
-
All members of
the marching band must be enrolled in a music class.
-
Marching band is
a PE class, and does not count toward UC subject requirements for
graduation.
FEES
-
There is a CUSD
Transportation Fee of $100 for marching band.
-
A member fee is
assessed for this co-curricular activity class that covers uniforms,
clinicians, etc. This fee is approximately $300 each year. Members
may raise funds to pay the fee or pay the fee outright.
BAND CAMP
-
Attendance at Band Camp is required.

Camp Information|

ALL members that do not attend band camp will automatically be alternates.
Students are then added to the show as they demonstrate mastery of
marching and musicianship skills.
P.E. TEST (Passed)
-
CUSD requires that 9th grade students to pass the freshman physical
fitness proficiency tests in February and March of their first year at
SCHS.
-
Students that do not pass the physical fitness tests must take a regular
PE test in their sophomore year and may not enroll in marching band while
in 10th grade.
