      WGASC Championships - Fund Raising Event

Parents!  We are excited to announce that San Clemente High School has been selected to host the Winter Guard championships on Friday, April 18, 2008, 5pm-11pm.

 

 

This will be a major fundraising opportunity for TMAC as we expect 35 schools to participate and upwards of 500 people in attendance. However, we will not be successful without YOU!

 

Mr. Jackson will be encouraging your student to volunteer and assist with preparation and the evening activities. Won’t you please join us as we will need approximately 25 parent volunteers? The evening promises to be fun and an opportunity to bond with other parents! Please let us know where you would like to assist and the hours you would be available.

  • Set-up: oversee our students to ready the gym, set up the food area and the hospitality centers (2-5pm)

  • Parking Lot: collect parking money and direct traffic to appropriate lots (shifts beginning at 3:30pm)

  • School Arrival: check in schools as they arrive (Shifts beginning at 3:30)

  • Ticket Sales: collect money and issue wrist bands for event entry (shifts beginning at 3:30)

  • Chefs: Dad’s welcomed! Moms too! We are planning to BBQ burgers, chicken fillets, and hot dogs. (shifts beginning at 4pm)

  • Food Preparation: this task could be done at home the previous day or at school the day of the event. Prepare lettuce, tomatoes, fruit, etc. Assist with food prep set-up, etc. (all afternoon Friday)

  • Food delivery: fill out the food order form, collect payment, assist guests by handling the sandwiches, salad, chips, soda, etc. Assist the students to manage the line movement. (Shifts beginning at 4pm)

  • Hospitality: decorate and ensure refreshments are available for the judges and directors.

  • Flowers: Assist Thursday (April 17th) to prepare flowers for sale. Oversee students selling flowers and money collection day of the event.

Additionally, we are hoping to get most our refreshments and supplies donated. We would really appreciate each family donating a flat of water/soda or a dessert. Please let us know what you’d like to donate! Remaining supplies will be sold at the upcoming Jazz Fest or at our yearend banquet.
