Leadership
LEADERSHIP
Students are appointed or elected into leadership positions each year. Students interested in filling a leadership position learn the fundamentals of the position they are interested in, and check with the director to verify that they have chosen the best person from which to learn the necessary details.
Leadership Potential:
Leaders are chosen based on their complete experience demonstrated while in the program.
Leaders are examples of mature and ethical behavior, both in and outside the program.
A candidate's maturation and musical growth are considered.
Peer pressure has does not affect the candidate's decision making process, and personal integrity is apparent.
Student demonstrates team behavior, and makes decisions that consistently benefit the ensemble team.
Service to the organization before personal benefit is notable.
Leadership Positions
Positions are either elected or appointed. This decision each year is determined at the discretion of the director depending on the pool of qualified candidates.
Leadership positions do not automatically exist year-to-year, but are filled if there is a qualified and interested candidate. The following is a generic list of positions.
