Jazz
Band is the only ensemble that is chosen by audition.
The jazz ensembles play various styles of jazz including
swing, bop, Latin jazz, funk, and more. Jazz band
students perform at boys basketball games, festivals, music
department and community concerts. In addition to
these performances, San Clemente hosts an annual jazz festival
in the spring.
AUDITIONS
Students audition in December (Brass on the 8th, Woodwinds
on the 10th and rhythm on the 11th), and begin meeting after
school starting Tuesday the 15th. The class officially
begins in the second semester and meets 7th period through
the end of the year.
