CONCERT BAND
The concert band is open to all students who play woodwind, brass and percussion instruments and who want to continue to improve their skills and expand their knowledge of music.  This class has members from all grade levels, 9th grade through 12th.

 

WIND ENSEMBLE

The Wind Ensemble is an advanced band class, and students may earn weighted credit by enrolling in IB Music Appreciation.  The wind ensemble is selected from the results of the music standards testing.

 

TRITON MARCHING ALLIANCE (Marching Band)

The Triton Marching Alliance is made up of students from the Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Orchestra, and the Dance Pageantry.  Orchestra members often participate as part of the percussion front ensemble, or as members of the Dance Pageantry.  The Dance Pageantry unit is a modern color guard that focuses on dance technique, and  prop and equipment handling.

 

JAZZ BAND

Jazz ensemble is a competitive musical ensemble with acceptance by audition only.  San Clemente High School Jazz Ensemble plays many various styles of jazz including swing, bop, Latin jazz, funk, and many more.  The SCHS Jazz Ensemble performs at boys basketball games as well as in department concerts.  In addition to these performances, San Clemente hosts an annual jazz festival in the spring. 

 

DRUM LINE

Drum Line is part of the Triton Marching Alliance (marching band).  Percussionists participate in marching and concert percussion throughout the year.  More information is available on the |drum line| page.
